Baked beetroot

You'll need aluminium foil for this recipe.

Ingredients

A few medium-sized beetroots
Grated horseradish
Balsamic vinegar
A whole clove for each beetroot
Salt

Peel the beetroots and sit each on a piece of foil about 25cm square. Gather up the edges of the foil a little so that it will hold some liquid and pour two teaspoons of balsamic vinegar over the beetroot. Put a blob of grated horseradish on top (it's difficult stuff to measure but around half a teaspoon). Sprinkle over some salt and place a clove on top of everything. Gather up the edges of the foil again and press them together to make a sealed package. Put the packages on a baking tray and bake on the centre shelf of a medium oven for about ninety minutes.
