There's me on the deck, stuffing my face....This was our first night, but the following ones followed a similar pattern. And here's the boat we stayed in and a view to the river bank from the kitchen door.

Near our mooring, there is an island which is mostly covered with quiet residential buildings and surrounded by houseboats.
Things move slowly in this area. The scenes above took three days to happen.
Leaden skies and cranes and boat rigging - the makings of a few impressive pictures. And below, some birds-eye, or book-worm views from the top of the city library (there's a good wee cafe there with nice veggie salad table and a Thai curry stall that does veggie too).
