Hrazdan Gorge toy railway, Yerevan, Armenia, March 2007
The gorge runs right through the city, yet provides a quiet and peaceful escape from the traffic noise and pollution, even on a Saturday afternoon. The railway has seen better days and when we first visited in March we thought it was broken down. We returned in May however, and were really happy to hear the toot of the horn as we descended into the gorge, then to see the train trundling by, full of kids.
