The first two pictures above were taken in China Town district of Kuala Lumpur. There are dozens of cheap restaurants with tables on the street and most of them will do excellent veggie food without any fuss. You can also usually get a bottle of Guiness foreign extra to go with your meal. The last picture was taken a few days later in a canteen in Little India district of Georgetown on Penang Island. We ordered vegetarian meals and got the whole works: banana leaf plate and as much rice, puris, curd, dhal and veg as we could eat. I had a salt lassi too.

And here's Sveta enjoying a lacto-vegetarian ice-cream cone in Yerevan, Armenia, followed by Sveta not enjoying the veggie offerings at Po Lin Monastery on Lantau Island, Hong Kong. If you ever go there, give the restaurant a wide berth. Sveta doesn't look happy, does she? The last one here is me scoffing a big juicy ripe red apple. This was in Berlin and we took the apples from breakfast at the hotel. Half the people we saw around the tourists spots were eating apples.... I would say German apples were really good, but I this one was probably from China or South Africa.
