There was a woman who had almost everything she wanted. She had a nice home, a good career and lots of friends, but there was something missing. She felt she needed a man in her life.
One day, a friend persuaded her to go with her to see a celebrity who claimed to have extra-sensory perception. She was reluctant at first as she didn't really believe in such things, but felt it couldn't do any harm. At the show she was one of the people chosen from the audience and the celebrity guessed her desire and suggested she buy a pair of men's slippers and keep them in her hallway.
A few days later, while she was at the market, she remembered the advice. Still not taking it altogether seriously, she asked for the cheapest slippers and took them home and left them in her hallway.
Sure enough, shortly after that a man appeared in her life. Of course, he wasn't Bill Gates and he wasn't Tom Cruise.
After a while she began to regret buying the cheapest slippers she could find.
